I’m a book worm. I’ll admit it. I enjoy reading and wish I had more time for it.
Growing up I could knock out a book in a couple hours. When a new book came out in a particular series, I’d sit and devour it, letting nothing distract me from my reading.
Now that I have more responsibilities other than cleaning my room and loading the dishwasher, finding time to read is much harder than when I was 10. I have found the books I’m reading have changed as well. The genre has primarily stayed the same, however, the content is much different.
I really enjoy reading about history and growing up I would love reading historical fiction books. I liked how an author could take an actual event in history and create characters around those events. It really gave me a sense of how things were back in the day.
A few weeks ago I attended the premier of a new way to share photos called Pass. I blogged about it here. During that seminar several of the speakers mentioned several business books that had helped them in their careers. A few days later I had made my Barnes and Noble purchase and eagerly awaited the arrival of my summer reading.

I’m really looking forward to getting into these books and learning from them. Some of them have been around for a while, why others are relatively new. I’ll be sure to let you know what I learn from them. I’m about to finish up Public Enemies: America’s Great Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-34, Bryan Burrough. Yes, I know this confession makes me a nerd, but I’m okay with that.
What books do you like to read? What books have been helpful to you? Leave me a note and let me know!
