Many of you read and commented on my blog post about introducing trash the dress sessions, and I appreciate it! I’ve finally been able to sit down and edit the pictures we took of Katie, my sister-in-law, on the Isle of Palms this past month.
The whole idea behind trash the dress sessions is to do something different. You will note that the editing on these particular type of pictures will be different from how I normally edit my photos. I want to use these sessions as expressions of both my creativity as the photographer and your creativity as the client. I try and do that on a normal basis, but I want these sessions to have a different look and feel to them.
Let me just say that Katie is a natural when it comes to modeling, which definitely makes my job easier! We started out at one of the piers on the Isle of Palms, SC. The lighting was perfect and I couldn’t have asked for a better evening to photograph. After we finished up at the pier, we headed back down to the house we were renting for the week. The house was right on the beach and also offered a pool, both of which we used.
I’d love for you to tell me what you think. I want to know if you like them or if you hate them. I want to know what you would like to see in the future with trash the dress sessions. This was also my first attempt at off camera flash, which can be a little intimidating, but we figured it out!
