Whew! It’s finally Friday! I feel like this week has gone by quickly but at the same time it still feels like it has been a long week. You know what I mean? I’ve been neglecting my responsibilities in writing more for this blog. One of my goals for this year was to blog a lot more and on a consistent basis. I’ve not been doing very well on either account. Sorry ’bout that.

This weekend kicks off the big Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Convention in Las Vegas and many photographers across America are probably in transit to Sin City at this very moment. I’ve never been to the trade show and convention myself, but I hear it’s quite the event. Perhaps some day when I’ve saved enough pennies, I will go and just soak every thing in. Until then, I’ll just have to keep reading up on photography and try to learn as much as I can.

In other news, I’m totally excited about my first sample album! This past week I entered a contest via Twitter and was selected as one of the winners! I never win anything, so this was a huge shock to me! The contest was for a free album design through Missing Element. I submitted several pictures I recently took of my nephew to have them design a fabulous album for me. I’m so excited about this! I just received my proofs and I have a couple of changes for them, but over all the design is exactly what I had in mind.

Once I’ve saved a few more pennies, I’ll be submitting the design to my album company. Yes, I think I have finally narrowed down the company I’d like to offer my albums through. I’ll not reveal their name yet, a girl has to have some secrets right? I’m really excited about this company though and I think they offer exactly what I’m looking for at the right price.

After I receive my new album back, I’ll be sure to post pictures for you all to see and leave your $.02 worth. That will more than likely happen in a couple of weeks. Like I said, I need to shoot a couple more sessions before I can order this album. . . hint, hint.

Anyways, enough of my random writing for today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for reading!
