If you follow me on Facebook, I’m sure you’ve seen the recent pictures I posted of the trash the dress session I did with Ann. She was one of the two winners for a contest I held a while back (this is why it pays to enter contests!). She really wanted to do a fall session and I think we couldn’t have picked a better time to go.
Ann and I attend the same church and I’ve taken pictures of her family at various times. Her boys are so cute and Gabe always seems to have a smile on his face. I love that Ann is up for anything and she brings her own ideas to the table as well.
For the first part, we started at a place near my house. Due to lighting and time of day, we did a quick 20 minute session, with the intent to head out later in the week to finish things up. The day of the second shoot was overcast and drizzling at times. As we drove to our location, I prayed it wouldn’t rain.
When we arrived, we had the place to ourselves, save one construction guy. He probably thought we were nuts for taking pictures in a wedding dress. . . and she wasn’t even getting married. Poor guy, he just didn’t understand.
Anyways, we had a great time shooting and Ann was so brave for getting in the cold water. I really tried to edit these pictures differently than I normally do. I’m really trying to expand my skills and work on offering a variety of images.
If you like the pictures, let me know. If you don’t like the pictures, let me know that too. I love helpful criticism and would love to know what you think.
I hope you enjoy this latest trash the dress!
